About Me

I support adults with developmental and intellectual differences in building the everyday skills that lead to greater independence, confidence, and dignity.

Through Coach Clau, LLC, I work closely with individuals—and the families who care for them—to develop practical independent living skills and meaningful social connections. My goal is simple: to help each person participate more fully in their daily life, at their own pace, and in a way that feels respectful and empowering.

This work isn’t about “fixing” anyone—it’s about creating opportunities for growth, choice, and connection in ways that truly fit the individual.

My Approach

My approach is hands-on, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including ABA—while always prioritizing the human experience first.

I combine structured support with real-life teaching:

  • Building skills at home through everyday routines

  • Practicing social interaction in familiar, low-pressure settings

  • Transitioning those skills into the community, where confidence can grow naturally.

I focus on consistency, trust, and celebrating progress—especially the small steps that lead to meaningful change.

My story

My journey into this work has been shaped by both purpose and lived experience. As a Puerto Rican who left the island in search of greater opportunities, I spent five years in Florida working as a Registered Behavior Technician, primarily supporting nonverbal individuals through naturalistic, relationship-centered approaches. During that time, I worked closely with families—many of them also Puerto Rican or Latinxs —who had relocated in search of the kind of support their loved ones needed.

I began to notice a gap—many young adults were aging out of structured services after high school, yet still needed meaningful, real-world support to build independence and connection. That realization stayed with me.

It ultimately led me to create Coach Clau, LLC, where I now combine my background in psychology, graduate training in social psychology, and ongoing certification in neurodivergence coaching to support individuals in a more holistic, life-centered way. Today, my work focuses on helping bridge that same gap I witnessed—both in Florida and here in Puerto Rico.

This work is deeply personal to me. It’s about meeting people where they are, honoring their pace, and building skills that truly matter in everyday life. If you’re navigating this stage—whether for yourself or someone you love—I’d be honored to be part of your journey, and to build something meaningful together.
